Idaho Chiropractic Summary

The primary objective of the Board of Chiropractic Physicians is to protect the public from unsafe chiropractic practice. The Board must also maintain standards of professional competence and service delivery.

Practice of chiropractic includes specific adjustment or manipulation of the articulations and tissues of the body; the investigation, examination and clinical diagnosis of conditions of the human body and the treatment of the human body by the application of manipulative, manual, mechanical, physiotherapeutic or clinical nutritional methods and may include the use of diagnostic X-rays.

Continuing Education requirements

Applicants are required to complete a minimum of eighteen (18) hours. All hours are allowed online.

Qualifications:

1. Under supervision from a veterinarian.

2. Chiropractors must have certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) or meet other similar requirements approved by the board.
